Inner Peace

Inner peace

Today at the peace conference in India we did a constellation and were talking about peace in the world. In the constellation i was chosen to be the representant for world peace. Just like the feeling that i have in the writing i could become a channel for what had to come. The message that came through me was the following. To achieve peace you don’t have to go to some place outside yourself. You just can hold back and bring your awareness inside yourself. To look inside yourself and realise that peace is coming from within. You cannot find something outside yourself without first finding it in yourself. So it is important to go on an inner journey to find peace inside. And realise that the outside world can only be a mirror to look inside ourselves and find peace there. Peace is an inner state which you reflect in your behaviour in the outside world.

Peace inside ourselves is also about finding balance in the polarities between the feminine and the masculine energy in ourselves. In order to achieve peace we have to find the balance in this both energies. In this constellation in the conference, in my journey in India and journey in life in general i feel that it is part of my life purpose to create space for the feminin energy. I feel this as a big part of my journey and i was writing about it earlier. Even that i am making this journey in a male fysical body i feel that i have a lot of feminine energy. And i know both energies are not about my fysical body. My body is only a container of the life energy which carries both the feminine and masculine aspect in itself. For me the challenge as a man with a lot of female energy is to balance my masculine part.

On a bigger level peace outside oursleves also comes from within. A balance that is not there yet in our world. As politics and culture has been dominated for so long by the masculine the challenge is to rehonour the feminine. As you can still see that many leaders are there in a male body and a lot of the women on the top levels are in their masculine side. Which is the result of the energy of the male dominance. In order to find peace on a bigger level the clue is to balance both energies inside ourselves and so on a bigger level. So the challenge for humanity is to rehonour the feminin energy which has been suppressed for such a long time. Both in men and women fysical bodies. Because it is not only about the fysical body. The challenge for men and women is to land in their softness and feminine side. And to not go in polarity but find a mature balance in between both. The balance of the feminine and masculine energy both in man and women. And then peace can come in a world which is now still ruled on a lot of levels by an inmature, dominant masculine power.

During my journey here in India i could really feel the existence of the male dominance which is still very present here. I could feel the pain of the feminine side and the struggle from the feminine in her search for freedom and be honoured again. I could this feel both inside myself and outside myself. I was able to feel the struggle i went through inside myself to become the vulnerable and sensitive men that i am now. And i could also feel in India and other places the struggle of many women that are still repressed. I feel that it is part of my path to further dive into this subjects. After my journey that is what i further want to commit to. To create space together with others for the feminine energy to come in balance with the masculine. And to be a warrior of peace. In writing, workshops, … . I feel that i am ready to do work about this topic and facilitate space for this. And i will sure write a novel about this topic as this is really what i feel i have to do. I feel that it is part of my soul mission. By helping creating a path of freedom for the feminine energy. Even that i am making this journey in a male body. I also feel there have been times i made this journey in a female body in another life. That it is not at all about the fysical body but about the life energy our body contains. And the soul that longs for inner peace. Peace which comes from the inside. May peace be with you all.

Rishikesh – The inner journey

0

Two days ago i arrived in Rishikesh close to the Himalaya’s in North India. Rishikesh which is also called the Yoga capital of the world. People from all over the world are coming here for yoga, retreats, yoga teacher educations, … . So now it is time for an inner journey. Time for yoga, retreat, self development, time in nature, … . Time to simply become silent and disconnect for a while. Which also means disconnect from internet for some time. And making space for the journey inwards. Time to let silence speak. Silence which is so important but sometimes so far away in a society with so many distractions. It is important to integrate this moments from time to time. I really feel i am in need for this. My first book is also as good as finished and will probably be released in March. But for now it will will be silent here for some time. See you later

Mystical Haridwar

Mystical Haridwar

Yesterday i arrived in Haridwar after taking the night train from Jaipur to Haridwar. The first thing that i did was taking a ritual bad in the river Ganges in the Gath of the hotel where i am staying. The water of the Ganges is cold here as it is still winter time here in the North. But the coldness of the water made me feel like reborn immediately after the long travel with little sleep.

During the evening In Haridwar i attend the daily sunset river ritual at Harki Pauri near the Ganges. Each evening at sunset priests perform Ganga Aarti here, when lights are set on the water to drift downstream. Many people come together on both the banks of the river Ganges to sing prayers. The priests hold large fire bowls in their hands, the gongs in the temples at the Ghat start ringing and everybody is singing. People put Diyas on the Ganges as a symbol of hope and wishes during the ceremony. The Diyas which are put on the water are made with flowers and candle fires. A lot of ritual offers are made to the water. Other people take ritual baths during the ceremony.

It was a mystical experience to attend this kind of ceremony. The serenity of everything has something holy and divine. It is a nice experience to attend this kind of rituals. For the people here the water of the Ganges is holy. The Ganges which flows through the center of Haridwar also streams throught the heart of the people here. People come to this place for the rituals that take place here and also to take some water of the holy Ganges with them. The water is sometimes kept for a long time and some people use to drink it just before they are leaving this world a man told me. In each kind of way this is a special spot in Haridwar which is a very important pilgrimage places for Hindus.

After this experience i am heading further north to Rishikesh where i will probably go to a yoga ashram for some inner silence and retreat. Time for an inner journey.

here you have a link to my youtubechannel where you can find a movie from the ceremony

An adventure with Indian Railways

An adventure with Indian Railways

Yesterdag i took the night train from Jaipur to Haridwar in the North of India. Which was really an out of the comfortzone experience travelling like this. India is in so many ways another world compared to Western Europe. Also for the train. I choose for the low budget way and travelled in the non ac sleeper. No fancy, bus or train wagon, … . Back to basics together with the locals for who it is a normal way of travelling. In the station of Jaipur was so busy but i seemed to be one of the only foreigners overthere. For many Indian people in general it is like they see foreigners for the first time. They are looking with big eyes all the time like I am coming from another world. In generally they are very welcoming and they always want to take pictures. I have never been asked so much to take a picture then this first week in India. Picture, selfie, … . They keep asking. Especially the children and the younger people. In some kind of way it all has his charms.

Just like travelling in this kind of way has its charms. But sleeping that is another thing in this train. For me was like impossible to have a good sleep in this way. Even that i was tired of all the business in Delhi and Jaipur. The noise in the night, the people snorring, the train that is heavily shaken was part of this experience which can be nice during the day but for having a sleep i say no. So i would personally prefer to do it during the day. The nice thing was the interaction with the people and the children on the train. Even that most of them don’t speak English and I don’t speak Hindi we could have small conversations. After all it is good to travel like this instead of taking a flight or luxury bus as you can see how real life in Indian is going. By the way for this train which takes 12 hours to cover 600 Km you pay like 8 euro. There is no luxury at all but you reach your destination and despite the difficulty for sleeping this is a good way of travelling. I liked this way of travelling as i could witness how locals are travelling. It is so nice to meet people wether they are rich or not. Because it is not about the outside but about the inside. So i am happy to meet people with the most diverse backgrounds everyone with their stories. No matter who these persons look on the outside. They are all who they are with their own stories. Just like i am who i am wherever i go or who i am with.

After a journey of 12 hours i finally reached Haridwar in the morning at ten. Haridwar wich is a very famous Pilgrimage place for Hindus in the north of India. I booked a hotel close to the Ganges in Haridwar and the first thing i did after checking in was taking a ritual bad in the Ganges. After that bath in the cold water of the Ganges i felt reborn even that i didn’t have a good sleep. I am happy that i left all the business of the big cities after me and that I am now going to connect again with more silent places. Big cities are not my thing that is for sure. I am way to sensitive for all the industrial noises, cars, the lack of silence, … . Nature and silence after all is my favourite ground.

Here are some pictures from on the train last night

An Indian wedding

0

The first 5 days of my journey in India where all about rituals and ceremonies for a wedding of a friend in Delhi. Hereby you find some pictures of how a traditional wedding in India is taking place. The wedding ceremony is taking place over some days finally resulting in the wedding ceremony. In between you have rituals like the Mehendi or traditional hand painting. You also have a ceremony where the bride get symbolic bracelets around the arm and which she has to wear for one year. Everything is very colourful and there is also a lot of traditional dancing and singing. This are some examples of rituals taken place in this days. It is also common in a lot of families that people are brought together based on the astrological signs of two persons. Which was not the case in this wedding. So in a lot of cases people in India are still brought together by their families without knowing their future partner before. In the outher form it is really different in some way and in the same time also very equal. Under all the outher layers on the other hand it is all about the same and about universal love and the connection between two persons.

Jaipur

After some days of rituals and ceremonies for the wedding i left Delhi. It was an unique experience to be at an Indian wedding. Still grateful for this experience. A decision in the moment yesterday in the bus station made me buy a ticket to Jaipur in Rajasthan where i arrived today. I met a Spanish couple in Jaipur and we did a day trip today together. It is great to meet people like this while travelling. And it is great to know that wherever we go by ourselves we are never alone.

Wedding of a friend in Delhi

Yesterday at the Mehendi for the wedding of Vidushi in Delhi. I see it as a gift that i could attend a wedding in India. I am grateful for this experience and so many thanks to Vidushi for inviting me. Because it also brought my path towards India. For me being here in India it is also a new confirmation that how different everything looks on the surface that in core we are all connected in the same roots. Things as love, hope, faith, … are universal. We are all on a universal journey. For me was a new out of the comfortzone to put my self in other clothes for the wedding but inside my self i know i am not my clothes. No matter which clothes i wear i m who i am. A soul making a journey in the body i was given. Just like we all are who we are <3

The journey to Delhi

Arrived safely in Delhi. Feels like i am dropped in another world 🙂 need some time to adapt to the time change and travel now. But how magic life prove to be again if you dare to step in the unknown. Yesterday during the transit in Moscow my path crossed somebody from Ghent who was also going to Delhi and is going to Rishikesh for a yoga retreat, the city where i am also planning to go after Delhi. We ended up sitting next to each other in the plane from Moscow to Delhi and started filosofing about life. It is inbelievable how everything under the stars is connected and that we are always at the right time and place. The last year sometimes it is crazy what happens all the time. Lately i was walking with a friend in Antwerpen and she told me that day about her friend that drove around the world with his bike. One day later i met a guy in a total other context and he told he travelled around the world and he seemed to be the man my friend talked about. The funny thing is that this are no individual causes but it happens all the time. Is so magic and it is happening in all our lives. Believe, fly and live your life. Do good and bring the best in your life and that from others
